The Baytree Plant Centre Pledge.

Our qualified and experienced staff will always maintain our exemplary standards of customer service by offering only honest, practical and subjective advice to you, our customers.

Baytree and the Environment
We naturally care about the environment and are committed to its' protection, conservation and the education of our customers.
We are dedicated to a ten year plan to make our energy supplies 100% renewable with the introduction of wind and solar power over the next few years. We currently capture rain water from 65% of our roof spaces and plan to increase this in the near future.
We grow most of the plants we sell, those we don't we try our utmost to source from local suppliers. All the packaging from our plants and dry goods is recycled. All our waste plant matter is composted or mulched. Our plastic plant pots are reused or recycled and all our carrier bags and other shopping packaging materials are biodegradable. Less than 1% of our waste goes to landfill, we're working on that nasty 1%.
We actively promote the planting of wildlife friendly plants and the use of wildlife boxes. Our Owl and Wildlife Centre at Weston is committed to various wildlife programmes.
Coaches Welcome
Baytree of Hilgay is a popular destination for coach parties of any size.
Our diversity of products gives your passengers plenty to do and there's our famous Barn Restaurant offering all kinds of refreshments
for the weary travellers!
Booking is advisable if only to avoid queueing in the restaurant
Although it is not necessary to book coaches in to visit us,
we would appreciate a phone call if you are bringing a large number of people, just so we can be ready for you! Contact the Restaurant
directly on 01366 385661
Dogs are welcome throughout the centre, we prefer them to be on a lead and would ask owners to tidy any mess.
For obvious reasons we can’t allow any dogs except assistance dogs into the main dining area.
However our restaurant has an specail area at the rear of the dining area for dogs (and their owners).
Should you visit us on your own with your dog just ask a member of staff and we'll show you the way.
If you would like us to consider you for future job opportunities then please send
a covering letter and CV to info@baytreehilgay.co.uk
Please note: we do not employ anyone under the age of sixteen.
All applications will be kept on record for six months from receipt.
If you wish to be removed from our waiting list before then please inform us via email to the same address above.
