Dining at The Barn Restaurant

We have introduced new procedures and a new way to dine at the Barn Restaurant in order to maximise the safety of our customers and staff during the covid-19 pandemic.

We are open from 10am to 3pm every day. We are now offering a slightly smaller menu due to social distancing measures in the kitchen and food preparation areas.

When arriving at the Restaurant you will be asked to supply your contact details before you enter (only your name and phone number) this is a government protocol and is part of the contact trace scheme. These details can be provided at the time of booking via telephone or online. Should you exhibit symptoms of Corona Virus or test positive within 5 days of dining with us we request you contact us to inform us. Your details will be stored for 21 days and then destroyed.

Our Maitre D will then allocate you a table. Our current maximum table size is six, please do not ask for a larger table then that. Our tables and chairs have been laid out to allow appropriate distance between diners and safe passages for customers and staff to operate in between. Please do not move chairs or tables as this may compromise your safety and the safety of those around you. Those using the outside patio area should use the appropriate signed entrance and exits to avoid crossing paths with other diners and staff.

Hand sanitising stations are situated at the entrance and around the restaurant. We encourage their use.

Please be aware that smoking and vaping is now prohibited throughout our entire restaurant including the patio area. Dogs are permitted on an allocated area of the patio but owners should enquire at the garden centre reception and not bring their dogs through the restaurant.

Once seated you can review menus at your table and don’t forget the specials board! When you are ready to order, we request that one person from the table go to the counter to order and pay for your food and drink. You will be issued a sanitised pager to take back to your table. There is a choice of normal cutlery or cutlery in sealed sanitised packets should you prefer.

Your pager will alert you to go to the serving station when your drinks and food are ready. These may occur separately so you should retain your pager until the order is complete. If you need assistance with your food or drinks to your table please ask a member of staff.

If you require additional drinks or desserts during your meal please visit the “Drinks and Desserts” station.

There is a toilet available but you will need to ask for a key, this is so we can sanitise the room after each customer in accordance with health authority guidelines.

Please be aware of your social distancing whilst visiting us. We want everyone to enjoy dining with us but also want everyone to stay safe and well.

Thank you, stay safe.
